Ron Garl has received numerous design accolades throughout his career including being awarded “Golf Designer of the Year” by International Network of Golf.
His educational background, a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida, with a specialization in turf grasses, has made him a leading authority in the golf industry.
His company’s mission is “To design and build memorable courses that challenge players to excel and that everyone can enjoy.” He’s done that here at Buffalo Creek.
Ron received the University of Florida’s Distinguished Alumnus Award for 2003, at the Graduation Commencement for the College of Agricultural & Life Sciences.
In 2009, Ron was inducted into the Polk County Schools Hall of Fame for his significant contribution to the golf industry.
Ron has extensive experience working with a great variety of diverse project sites. Known for his innovative routings and true to his philosophy that a course should “sit softly on the land,” Ron has set a unique standard for environmentally-friendly projects that maximize and enhance the land’ s natural characteristics.
